Peloton are one of the leading brands in the fitness sector and are always looking to utilise the latest technology to improve their products and give their customers the best possible experience when exercising. They started the trend when they released their range of bikes that allowed members to join classes and earn rewards by competing with other members during the classes from their homes and now, they have released their latest product that works in the same way.

LaneBreak is the latest state-of-the-art treadmill that is being used to transform and enhance traditional running workouts that also allows members to continue their workout at home seamlessly.

Peloton LaneBreak includes gamified elements similarly used in their range of bikes which involves users matching and sustaining a pre-set inclines and speeds to rack up high scores. They also include little animations to help keep the users engaged throughout the workout and the whole thing is set to a beat pumping soundtrack.

The software uses the full range of the Tread hardware, as it automatically adjusts the speed and incline to match what is happening in the game the member is playing at the time. They have also included a new mechanic specifically tailored for interval workouts, updated visuals for runners, new avatars and an array of pace-based difficulty options. Levels vary according to the chosen playlist and workout type, with difficulty levels ranging from beginner to expert. Each game level lasts anywhere from five to 30 minutes, to suit workouts of varying lengths.

The new product from Peloton shows again they are at the forefront of keeping up to date with the latest tech trends as combining gamified elements into their hardware products is a great way of attracting new customers and keeping existing members firmly engaged by creating games and challenges to perform against other members to add great value to repeated use of their products. The added element of difficulty levels also makes it accessible for all members and keeps the element of competition as someone who is just starting out can compete against others in the same scenario rather than competing against members who have used the technology for a long time and could become disengaged if they feel no value in their experience.

LaneBreak treadmills also include a wide range of challenges that members can complete that all lead to monthly and weekly scores that can be posted to other members to keep the competitive nature of fitness training levels high even when training from home which also adds a social element to their product and creates a valued community where everyone can interact with one another. With the new features of including various genres of music for members to choose from it also allows members to try different challenges and workouts based off fast paced music or lots of different levels throughout the tracks.

Leaderboards and Achievements:

The Peloton LaneBreak product continues to use the Leaderboards as the previous products have integrated to keep the element of competition alive with all members and to reward members that keep pushing themselves daily to stay at the top of the leaderboard which then leads them to earning achievements and rewards to redeem on other Peloton products.

LaneBreak seamlessly integrates with the broader Peloton ecosystem of products which makes it much easier for members to keep track of their progress across multiple pieces of equipment that they use as well as join a multitude of classes and view a large library of workouts to complete at the user’s leisure rather than be restricted by certain times for classes.
